Junior Chamber International in Damascus launches  “Technology society  and Women in the World of Technology” Project

The Junior Chamber International JCI in Damascus   launched on Saturday in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Technology   the project of “Technology Society and Women in the World of Technology”

The project aims to raise awareness of the importance of technological development for women and the need to keep pace with it, empower women and enhance their role in this field as well as highlight women’s achievements in the technological field.

The project also seeks to provide quality training for women in order to develop their skills and experience in addition to providing job training opportunities for women in companies specialized in the technology field.

President of JCI-Damascus  Muhammad Jihad al-Hindi, said  in a statement to a SANA reporter that the launch of the project comes to shed light on the Syrian technology community and the active participation of Syrian women, as  Syrian women are creative in all fields and have a pioneering role in the world of technology.

He indicated that the JCI focuses on developing Skills, training and qualifying youth, exchanging experiences, and enhancing the spirit of cooperation, creativity and innovation within the framework of serving economic work at the national level.

The project manager, Abdel Nasser Hafez, stressed that the idea of the project stems from the need to develop the technology sector in Syria and advance it further, pointing out that the project provides training for women who are  interested in technology to  develop their skills and thus reflects on the development of the work they do as well as on the society as a whole.
