Bolivian president: preventing Palestine from gaining UN membership is a historic injustice

Bolivian President Luis Arce reiterated his country’s rejection of the genocidal crimes committed by the Israeli entity in the Gaza Strip.

“We do not agree with the genocide being committed against the Palestinian people and with everything that the world can see with its own eyes when children and the elderly become victims of Israeli bombing and aggression,” Arce said in an interview with Sputnik broadcasted today.

Arce stressed that a great injustice was inflicted on Palestine when the United States blocked the adoption of an international resolution granting it full membership in the United Nations, he said: “the veto imposed by the United States prevents this country from participating like other countries on the planet in the United Nations and deprives it of its right to be a member of this international organization.”

In a speech at the Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance of Latin American peoples “ALBA” in Caracas, Arce stressed the need to take serious international measures to stop the war of extermination to which the Palestinians are subjected as a result of the Israeli aggression, stressing the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and exercise its sovereignty.
