BEIRUT-The Lebanese National News Agency has reported that Israeli warplanes Monday evening launched two airstrikes on targets near the borders between Syria and Lebanon.
According to the agency, the Israeli jets flew at low altitude over the Lebanese Eastern and Western mountains and hit Nabi Sheet mountain area at the borders with Syria.
For its part, the Lebanese al-Manar TV, said that Lebanese security sources haven’t confirmed any Israeli raid on the eastern part of the Lebanese lands.
Israel violates Lebanon’s airspace on an almost daily basis, claiming the flights serve surveillance purposes.
The Lebanese government has filed several complaints to the United Nations over the violation of the country’s airspace by the Israeli military aircrafts, but no international action has been done against Israel’s blatant violations.
