American police launches a massive arrest campaign of students and demonstrators against the Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip

Washington, (ST) –  American police dispersed hundreds of demonstrators and carried out widespread arrests in a number of cities and universities that witnessed protests demanding an end to the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip.

AP reported that US police arrested 133 students protesting the Gaza war on the campus of Columbia University.

The protest against the aggressive war on Gaza at New York University expanded to reach hundreds of demonstrators, and after the administration warned the students, it summoned the police, who arrested a number of them.

According to university officials, strict measures have been taken against students in an attempt to stop organized protests against the Israeli aggression.

In New York City, police dispersed hundreds of demonstrators and arrested more than 100 near the home of Democratic Majority Leader in the US Senate Chuck Schumer in Brooklyn, where they took the detainees into custody.

Schumer commented on the US Senate’s approval yesterday of an aid package worth $95.3 billion for Ukraine, the Israeli entity, and Taiwan, saying: This is one of the most important measures approved by Congress in years to protect America’s security and the future of democracy.

After 201 days of the aggressive war on Gaza Strip, the United States is witnessing broader demonstrations throughout it, demanding an end to the genocide against the Palestinians, of whom more than 34,000 have died, most of whom are women and children.
