Next September… the launch of the Syrian export exhibition, Expo Syria 2024

The Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry announced today the launch date of the Syrian export exhibition, Expo Syria 2024, next September, which the Federation will organize in cooperation with the nomySyrian Trade and Agriculture Federations, the regional office of the Arab Exporters Union, and the Syrian Garment Exporters Association.

According to what was stated in a press conference , hundreds of companies operating in the textile, food, chemical, engineering, agricultural, and ornamental plant sectors, in addition to the shoe and leather industry sector, will participate in the exhibition, which will be launched in the New Exhibition City in Damascus. The exhibition will be held in an area of 50,000 square metres, making it the largest of its kind in terms of size in the region.

About 2,000 businessmen from various Arab and European countries will be invited to help familiarize themselves with Syrian products in the various participating sectors and open export outlets for them.

In a speech by the President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Industry, Ghazwan Al-Masry, he stressed the importance of the exhibition to introduce Syrian industries and products and restore their position in export markets, which helps in developing the productive and marketing capabilities of Syrian industries.

For his part, the head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, Muhammad Abu Al-Huda Al-Laham, pointed out the importance of the exhibition in opening new markets for Syrian exports, increasing their volume, operating industrial facilities, securing more job opportunities, and increasing imports of foreign currencies, which will benefit the Syrian economy.

For his part, the head of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Agriculture, Muhammad Kashto, stressed the cooperation of all sectors to reach an exhibition worthy of Syrian products and their good reputation.

Director of the General Organization for International Exhibitions and Markets, Halim Al-Akhras, explained that the exhibition will be the largest in terms of areas and number of participants.

He stated that the institution has tended to support and organize specialized exhibitions because they fulfill their economic goal, indicating that the exhibition city is ready to receive these large areas of exhibitions, and the procedures have been simplified and approvals have been granted to hold such exhibitions.

For his part, Director of the Export Support and Development Authority, Thaer Fayyad, confirmed that the Authority supports all exhibitions as they constitute the most important tools for promoting Syrian exports.

The Secretary General of the Arab Federation for Leather Industries, Engineer Sherif Al-Hassan, explained that the Sila Exhibition for Shoes and Leather Industries, which is organized periodically by the Arab Federation for Leather Industries, will be within the pavilions of the Expo Syria exhibition, which will contribute to diversifying the products within the exhibition.

Regarding the importance of the exhibition, the Vice President of Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry, Talal Qalaji, said: The exhibition is important and huge, and it is a new experience for Expo Syria, especially for the food industries, which will have three special pavilions.

The head of the regional office of the Arab Exporters Union in Syria, Muhammad Nasser Al-Sawah, the head of the Syrian Garment and Textile Exporters Association, Ragheed Al-Halabi, and a number of council members of the federations of chambers of commerce, industry and agriculture, participated in the press conference.
