Launching the electronic visa to visit Syria, starting next May 1…Minister of Tourism: Reducing time and effort for citizens and tourists wishing to come to the country

The Minister of Tourism, Engineer Muhammad Rami Martini, announced the launch of the electronic visa service to visit Syria starting at the beginning of next month, stressing the importance of the step in reducing the time and effort of individuals and tourists wishing to come to the country.

Minister Martini explained that the launch of the electronic visa platform aims to “overcome the difficult circumstances that Syrian tourism is going through, especially in countries where there are no embassies or consulates,” indicating the possibility of those wishing to come to Syria to obtain an electronic visa as of the beginning of next May. Pointing out that the platform will contribute to increasing the number of people coming to the country.

Regarding collecting service fees for countries that do not have an electronic payment feature when applying through the Arabs and Foreigners Portal, Minister Martini said, according to SANA: “The system currently provides two options for paying the value of the visa, via electronic payment if available, otherwise the concerned party will have to postpone paying the value of the service fee.” Upon arrival at the border crossings, the fees are fully paid, which is the value of the visa and the service fee.” Minister Martini explained that work on the platform was carried out in coordination between the Ministries of Tourism, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Expatriates, Communications and Technology, so that those wishing to come to Syria do not need to visit embassies or consulates, but rather submit their application for a visa through the platform to obtain the result within a maximum period of 72 hours. Internal applications can be submitted through the tour operators affiliated with the Ministry of Tourism, and those wishing to obtain an entry visa can submit applications through the “Injaz Syria” platform. As for external applications, Arabs and foreigners can directly enter the website to receive applications.
