Palestinian Ministry of Health: 730 thousand people in Gaza City and its north have no real health services

The Palestinian Ministry of Health affirmed that the Israeli occupation deliberately destroyed the health system in Gaza and North Gaza regions, committed brutal massacres, and carried out direct executions of medical personnel and patients in the Shifa Medical Complex and hospitals in North Gaza.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement today: More than 730,000 residents of the Gaza and northern regions are without real health services, noting that the destruction of the Shifa Medical Complex constituted a devastating blow to the health system in the northern Gaza Strip.

The Ministry added: “We need surgical field hospitals with a capacity of 200 beds, which include operating rooms, intensive care, and laboratory as well as diagnostic services in order to meet the needs of the population in the Gaza and northern regions,” pointing to the loss of specialized medical personnel who formed the backbone of medical services, including examining tumor samples, kidney transplantation, and others.
The Ministry called for the provision of field hospitals and international multi-specialties medical teams for the Gaza and North Gaza regions.
