Cuba congratulates Syria on 78th Anniversary of Evacuation Day

Cuba has congratulated Syria on the 78th Anniversary of Evacuation Day.

In a statement on its website, the Cuban Foreign Ministry said that Cuba congratulates the Syrian Arab Republic on its National Day, stressing willingness to continue strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, President of the National Assembly of the Cuban People’s Power (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, expressed deepest congratulations on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Syria’s independence, and his wishes of prosperity and peace for the Syrian people, stressing his country’s interest in continuing to strengthen parliamentary relations between the two countries.

For its part, the Arab Union in Cuba congratulated the Syrian people and government, the Syrian embassy in Cuba, and the Syrians residing there on the occasion of Evacuation Day.
