The occupied Syrian Golan, (ST) – People in the occupied Syrian Golan commemorated the 78th anniversary of the evacuation of the French colonizers from Syrian land, with stands in village squares and a celebration at Sultan Pasha Al-Atrash Square in the center of the town of Majdal Shams.
SANA reporter in the occupied Golan said that the participants in the stands in the village squares raised the national flag, pictures of the leaders of the Syrian revolution against the French occupation, and pictures of President Bashar Al-Assad. They then headed to Sultan Pasha al-Atrash Square to commemorate the occasion, emphasizing in their speeches the importance of the evacuation process that the ancestors wrote with their blood, where they offered many martyrs for the sake of Syria’s independence so that their children could inherit the values of dignity and pride and continue the path of struggle in defense of the land and in confronting the Zionist occupier.
Nawaf Al-Batheesh, in his speech, stressed that the blood flowing in the veins of the people of the Golan is an extension of the blood of the ancestors who achieved the evacuation and sacrificed for Syria’s independence, and today, the grandchildren defend Syria and its unity.
Jad Al-Karim Nasser said that today, the Syrian Arab Golan is facing attempts by the occupation to Judaize it, and they continue to confront the occupation’s plans and will bring them down one by one in order to preserve the identity of the Syrian Arab Golan and its pure soil.
The liberated prisoner, Bishr Al-Maqt, said: The anniversary of Evacuation is passing today, and the world and the Middle East are experiencing a new victory in confronting the Israeli occupation. He affirmed that the right should return to its people and that the dawn of victory is near in our greater evacuation with the liberation of the Golan.
