Bogotá (ST) – The Colombian President, Gustavo Petro has condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ continued violation of the UN Security Council’s resolution on ceasefire in Gaza Strip.
“Israel continues to kill children and violate the ceasefire resolution issued by the UN Security Council”, Petro said, adding that: “The vast majority of humanity demands peace.”
Pedro’s statements come in the wake of the martyrdom and injury of a number of Palestinians yesterday and today as a result of the Israeli occupation forces targeting the Nuseirat camp in central Gaza Strip.
According to a statement issued by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, the number of victims of the occupation’s ongoing aggression against Gaza Strip for the 192nd day has risen to 33797 martyrs and 76465 wounded, most of whom are women and children, while a number of victims are still under rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and civil defence crews cannot reach them.
The Israeli occupation entity continues its aggression against Gaza despite the issuance of the Security Council resolution on an immediate ceasefire and despite the occupation’s appearance before the ICJ on charges of committing genocide.
