PROVINCES,(ST)_ Terrorist training camp has been destroyed by the army units in central Homs province amid reports of eliminating at least 35 terrorists in an ambush in the province of Idleb.
The state-run Syrian TV channel reported on Wednesday that an army unit destroyed a training camp for the Islamic front-linked terrorists in al-Sa’en area outside Talbisa, around 14km to the north of Homs.
It added that the cars which were inside the camp were wiped out.
More cars loaded with various types of weapons were targeted in al-Hola area, around 46km to the north-west of Homs city, according to a military source.
The source noted that several terrorist groupings were targeted in the towns in Kafr Laha, al-Dar al-Kabera, Kesin and in an area between Em al-Rish and Ras al-Arnab towns as well as in al-Rastan city.
11 civilians evacuated from Homs
As for the operation of evacuating civilians from the old city of Homs, Talal al-Barazi (Homs governor) stressed that 11 civilians, mostly women, children and elderly were evacuated today despite terrorists’ bid to prevent the operation.
He made it clear that the terrorists detonated explosive devices inside the old city and targeted the routes used to evacuate the civilians.
“Local committees and clergymen played a key role in evacuating the civilians today,” the governor said, noting that the situations of 240 misled young men, who left the old city, were settled.
Meanwhile, the official news agency said that an army unit killed at least 35 terrorists and destroyed 4 cars equipped with heavy machineguns in an ambush in Qmenas town outside Idleb province.
‘Religious court’
Other army units pounded headquarters of the so-called ‘religious court’ affiliated to terrorists in Bab al-Hawa area and eliminated many terrorists in the towns of Korin, Tal Salmo, al-Mjas, al-Sweha and Abo al-Dhohor in Idleb countryside.
A military source declared that at least 19 terrorists perished and dozens were wounded near al-Nairab area in the same province.
Airport attack
Moving around 417km to the east of Idleb, precisely in Der Ezzour province, the army units crushed armed terrorist groups in al-Reshdeyeh quarter, wiped out cars for terrorists near al-Baath bridge and thwarted an attack on airport on the outskirts of the city.
More terrorists, some belonging to al-Nusra front and the ‘Islamic Front’ died in the unrelenting military operations outside Damascus province and in Aleppo and Daraa provinces.
Terrorists kill 10 civilians
Last night, Damascus countryside witnessed a terrorist attack against civilians in Jdaydet al-Wadi town where 5 civilians were martyred and several others wounded by the detonation of a booby trap- planted by terrorists in one of the town’s quarters.
A mother and two children were among the civilians martyred in the said area, according to a police command source.
Three civilians were martyred and another 3 wounded when 11 shells-fired by terrorists- landed on homes in al-Mastomeh and al-Fa’ora towns and in Idleb city.
The death toll from mortar attacks rose to 5 when terrorists launched a rocket on the eastern quarter of M’hardeh city in Hama province killing at least 2 civilians and leaving 6 others wounded.
Syria is fighting terrorism exported from around 83 countries.
The US, France, the UK, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar sponsor the terrorist groups operating in Syria, world media reports say.
