Al-Mikdad: Genocide in Gaza continues due to US full support for the Israeli occupation

During a press conference with the Iranian Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian on Monday, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad stated that the Israeli attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus is a violation of international law and all values of humanity.

He stressed that the fascist Zionist entity is not content with the crimes it is committing in Gaza Strip and the West Bank, rather, it continues to attack Syria and Lebanon, adding that “the US full support for the Israeli entity is responsible for the continuation of the genocide committed by the Israeli occupation in Gaza.”

Al-Mikdad indicated that the Israeli entity did not stop for a moment to commit war crimes and crimes against humanity.

“What we are witnessing today in Gaza are Israeli crimes of genocide that neither the West nor the United States and all the countries that support Israel can ignore,” Al-Mikdad said, pointing out that the existence of the Israeli entity poses a threat to all, and therefore, any battle against it aims at stopping its attacks and achieving victory.

He also said that the Israeli occupation escalated attacks on the Syrian territories during the past few weeks and days, because Syria has always supported the Palestinian people and it has never hesitated in providing all forms of support in defense of the Palestinian cause.

For his part, Abdollahian said that his talks with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad were so important as they touched on bilateral relations and regional and international issues, especially the issues related to Palestine and the war crime committed by the Zionist entity against the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

He pointed out that supported by the United States, the Israeli entity commits horrible war crimes in Gaza Strip and the terrorist attack against the Iranian consulate in Damascus was carried out with US-made missiles.

“From Here, From Damascus, I say out loud that the United States is responsible for this terrorist crime committed by the Zionist entity against the Iranian consulate and it must bear its responsibility, and the Zionist entity will be punished for its crime. The failure of America and the European countries to condemn this Israeli aggression indicates that Washington has given the green light to Israel to commit this crime”, Abdollahian added.

He reiterated that Syria’s security means the security of the region.

Abdollahian affirmed nonstop efforts to stop the Israeli war of genocide on Gaza Strip and to deliver humanitarian aid to the Palestinians there.
