Russian security thwarts 235 Ukrainian terrorist operations within two years

Moscow, (ST) – The Russian Federal Security revealed that it thwarted 235 terrorist operations carried out by Ukrainian and Russian elements on instructions by the Ukrainian security services in the period from 2022 to 2024.

The Russian Security Service explained in a statement, according to the RT website, that the terrorist activities of the Ukrainian services since the beginning of the Russian military operation in Ukraine have acquired an unprecedented aggressive and bold character that currently covers almost the entire territories of Russia.

According to the statement, among these activities are attacks on recruitment centers, military and civilian installations, railway networks, and civilian infrastructure such as electricity and heating stations.

“There are other attacks using drones, whether in border areas or deep inside the country, and attempts to assassinate military and political leaders and public figures”, the statement added.

Terrorist activities included both strategic military and civilian targets, with the regime’s priority objectives in Kiev being the destruction of strategic critical infrastructure facilities, such as the Crimean Bridge, oil and gas pipelines, airports, oil refineries, and nuclear power plants in Kursk, Smolensk, Leningrad, and Zaporozhye.

Criminal cases were opened on charges related to terrorism and harming public security and the security of the Russian state against all those who planned these terrorist operations.
