Daraa, (ST) – The Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa, in cooperation with the General Corporation for Drinking Water, completed the rehabilitation and equipment of a drinking water well in the city of Busra Al-Sham.
The Head of the Red Crescent branch in Daraa, Dr. Ahmed Masalma stated that the well was provided with mechanical equipment and a solar energy system was installed to provide an electricity source, with the aim of delivering clean drinking water to more than 12 thousand people, also in cooperation with the French Triangle Organization.
In turn, the head of the Busra Al-Sham Water Unit, Farhan Al-Khalil considered that the well supports the water network and secures it for more than half of the city’s population, and works with excellent abundance, especially with the approaching summer season. He indicated that there are preparations to work on equipping the rest of the wells with solar energy systems during the coming periods, in cooperation with international humanitarian organizations and the local community.
