DAMASCUS, (ST) – Prime Minister, Dr. Wa’il al -Halaqi, has underlined the government’s attention to the development of national industries in all its components, which constitute the backbone of the process of sustainable development, whereas the government seeks to implement this policy through the development of plans and programs and mapping out the future and development policies that meet the aspirations of the industrial sector through partnership with the private sector and all economic activities.
Dr. al –Halaqi, during a meeting with the members of the Syrian Federation of Exporters (SFE), chaired by the head of the SFE,Mohammed al Sawah, he pointed out that the government is working to encourage export operations and provide accessories to enhance the ability of the Syrian product to compete in foreign markets, calling exporters to contribute to maintaining the status of goods and Syrian commodities in terms of availability of quality components, abundance of quantities and prices, competition and technical specifications of excellence.
The Prime Minister indicated to the government’s keenness to overcome the obstacles that hit the export sector due to the economic unfair war, stressing on the importance of the development of exports and the development of the legislative administrative and organizational environment, that help strengthening the competitiveness of the Syrian exports, opening internal and external shows that acquaint with the product Syrian product.
For his part, Mr. al Sawah stressed that the Syrian Federation of Exporters (SFE) will make redoubled efforts in order to activate the role of the EF internally and externally in order to support the capacity of the national economy.
Minister of Economy, Dr. Khider Orfali, called Syrian businessmen and industrialists to work and strengthen the competitiveness of the product and increase the size of the Syrian exports to foreign markets.
During a meeting with Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Syrian Federation of Exporters (SFE), Dr. Orfali pointed to the significant role that the SFE could play in activating the economic and trade activities through cooperation, interaction and integration with all concerned bodies in the public and private sectors.
The minister also pointed to the importance of consultation and coordination in all matters relating to the export sector in the current circumstances, expressing the readiness of his ministry through the Public Authority for the Development and Promotion of Exports for cooperation in this area and to receive all proposals and initiatives related to the sector in accordance with the directions of the government and the offering of facilities and procedures and support for exporters.
For their part, members of the Board of Directors expressed their willingness to cooperate and coordinate with the ministry to activate the export sector, demanding the desire to participate in any economic decision in order to unify the visions between the public and private sectors.
