Russian orientalist: The Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus aims to destabilize the region
Moscow, (ST) – The scientific researcher and Head of the Department of Middle East History at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Alexander Krylov affirmed that the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus aims primarily at destabilizing the region.
Krylov said in an interview with SANA correspondent in Moscow: Israel is pushing the situation towards expanding the scope of armed confrontations in this region. He warned of the consequences of “Israeli” plans to ignite a new war in the region.
Krylov believed that the Zionist entity is planning to drag the United States into a wide-scale war and thus revive its plans to target the Iranian nuclear program. He indicated that this is considered as a real adventure that will put Israel itself in an inevitable dilemma.
