A wake held in Aleppo for victims of the Israeli aggression against the Iranian consulate in Damascus

Aleppo-(ST)- Yesterday, the Consulate of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Aleppo held a wake for martyrs and victims of the Israeli aggression against the Iranian Consulate building in Damascus.

During the wake, which was attended by religious, social and economic personalities, verses from the Holy Quran were recited and speeches condemning the criminal aggression committed by the Zionist enemy against diplomats and civilians were made. The speeches affirmed the depth of relations between the Syrian and Iranian friendly peoples.

The Iranian Consul in Aleppo Nawab Nouri said in a statement to SANA correspondent that the Israeli aggression targeted the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, which is a diplomatic place in the vicinity of the embassy, leading to the martyrdom of a number of advisors. He stressed that this Zionist criminal violation revealed its malicious nature more clearly, and this will not deter us from adhering to our positions. Rather, it makes us more steadfast, and we want to prove to the entire world and say to the Palestinian people that we will stand by your side, and despite these violations, we will continue to provide support to them, and that these martyrs add strength to our hearts, and through them we will walk on this path steadfastly.

Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the Aleppo Governorate Council, Dr. Kamit Assi Al-Sheikh, explained in a similar statement that the Zionist aggression is a crime against international, diplomatic and humanitarian norms and a continuation of the systematic killing in the sanctity of the holy month of Ramadan, and that the martyrs of the aggression are a new group added to the martyrs of Gaza and that the fate and axis of resistance are the same, we are proud of the blood of our martyrs.

Member of the People’s Assembly and one of the notables of the Bakara tribe, Omar Al-Hassan, affirmed that the Israeli aggression is a subversion of all international norms and conventions, and it is an international terrorism with American support to cover up the Zionist crimes of killing and displacing the Palestinian people, stressing the continuation of the resistance approach until victory.
