Iran’s top diplomat demands UN clear response to the strike on consulate in Damascus
During a phone call on Tuesday to the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres , Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian demanded that the UN Security Council deliver a proportionate and clear response to the Zionist entity’s crime against the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
Abdollahian noted the responsibility of the United Nations and the UN Security Council to maintain international peace and security.
For his part, Guterres expressed his condolences over the victims of the attack and his condemnation of this crime.
On Tuesday, Guterres called for respecting the international law.
