Syria, UN to support health facilities

Damascus, (ST) – The Minister of Health, Dr. Hassan Al-Ghabbash discussed with the representative and director of the United Nations Office for Project Services in Amman, Muhammad Othman Akram means of enhancing health cooperation and cooperation with regard to supporting health facilities in Syria.

During a meeting held on Tuesday in the ministry building, the two sides discussed the importance of renewing priorities for restoring health facilities that were damaged as a result of the terrorist war on Syria.

Dr. Al-Ghabbash pointed out the need to focus on matters that would have a direct positive impact, and the importance of promoting the introduction of alternative energy to health facilities, especially small ones.

In turn, Akram affirmed the office’s readiness to support the immediate needs of the health sector, and to enhance cooperation to support alternative energy in health facilities, in addition to the old projects that are being worked on to restore damaged health blocks to ensure their services are provided to Syrian citizens.
