Iran strongly condemns the Israeli terrorist attack that targeted its consulate in Damascus

Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani has strongly condemned the Israeli terrorist attack that targeted the Iranian consulate building in Damascus, stressing that it was a flagrant violation of international rules.

In a statement on Monday, Kanaani said this terrorist act must be condemned in the strongest terms by the international community and the United Nations, stressing the need to take necessary measures against the aggressor.

He indicated that an investigation into the dimensions of this brutal attack is currently underway, and that the Zionist entity is completely responsible for the consequences of this crime.

Kanaani affirmed that his country reserves the right to take countermeasures and is the one who decides the type of reaction and punishment against the aggressor.
