Palestinian Foreign Ministry: Storming into Al-Auja Spring area by an occupation minister is part of a plan to annex and Judaize the Jordan Valley

The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli occupation government minister Bezalel Smotrich’s storming into the Al-Auja Spring area, north of the city of Ariha (Jericho) in the West Bank, and his provocative statements about seizing the spring and the entire area in which it is located.

Yesterday, in a statement reported by Wafa Agency, the Foreign Ministry considered that Smotrich’s storming into the spring’s area falls within the framework of the occupation’s plans to annex and Judaize the entire Jordan Valley region  especially after the occupation authorities’ decision to seize more than 8 thousand dunums in the Jordan Valley as an integral part of the policy of annexing the West Bank and undermining any opportunity to materialize the Palestinian state on the ground.

The Foreign Ministry explained that the absence of deterrent international sanctions and the failure of the UN Security Council to implement Resolution 2334 encourage the occupation to continue its genocidal war in Gaza Strip. In addition to completing its plans to annex the West Bank by deepening settlement and seizing land and creating major changes in the historical, political, legal, and demographic reality with the aim of liquidating the Palestinian issue, which requires urgent international action without any waste of time.
