Shopping Festival launched in Al-Wa’er neighborhood in Homs to meet families’ needs during Ramadan

Al-Wa’er neighborhood in Homs is currently hosting a shopping festival that aims at providing a variety of products needed by families during the month of Ramadan and the forthcoming Eid Al-Fitr.

Al-Wa’er neighborhood was once a stronghold for gunmen during the terrorist war on Syria before they were expelled as a result of a reconciliation process initiated by the Syrian state to establish security and stability and restore normal life in this area.

65 companies specialize in food, textiles and chemical industries from several governorates are taking part in this event.

The festival, organized by Al-Mosuli Establishment for Exhibitions and Conferences in coordination with Homs City Council and the Homs Chambers of Commerce and Industry, will continue until the 7th of April, 2024. The sections present various types of food and family needs during the month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr, in addition to textile products, children’s toys, and other household supplies at encouraging discounts.

Firas Al-Mousli, the organizer, told SANA that the festival is held as Eid al-Fitr is approaching with the aim of easing the financial burden on citizens, and to meet the needs and supplies of families at discounts of up to 50%.

For his part, Member of Homs Chamber of Commerce Samer Al-Safwa said that the festival is part of the charitable initiatives carried out by the Chamber, and it is an effective means for introducing goods to visitors and local companies.
