British MPs call on their government to suspend arms exports to the Israeli occupation entity

London, (ST) – More than 130 representatives of the British Parliament on Wednesday sent a letter to their country’s government calling on the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Business and Trade to suspend licenses for arms sales to the Israeli occupation entity.

The letter, signed by MPs and members of the House of Lords to Foreign Secretary David Cameron and Business and Trade Minister Kimi Badenoch, stated: As parliamentarians from different parties, we call on you to immediately suspend arms export licenses to “Israel.”

The letter indicated that the number of martyrs who fell as a result of the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza Strip exceeded 32 thousand martyrs, 70 percent of whom were women and children, in addition to the fact that 80 percent of the infrastructure was destroyed.

The Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression against Gaza Strip, despite the issuance of a UN Security Council resolution on an immediate ceasefire during the month of Ramadan, and despite their trial before the International Court of Justice on charges of committing genocide.
