Homs Governor Stresses National Reconciliation Only way to Restore Social, National Fabric in Syria

HOMS- National reconciliation is the only way to restore and maintain strong national and social fabric in Syria, said Homs Governor Talal Barzi.

Barazi was speaking to citizens recently evacuated from the old city of Homs and who are now staying in the temporary sheltering center of al-Andalus school.

“Syria is the mother and the homeland of all the Syrians,” the governor said, reiterating that “the destruction and damage which Syria has been exposed to was caused by foreign-incited sedition, so we have to be unified to face the conspiracy and destruction plans.”

The governor said “we are currently discussing the possibility of getting a number of youths out from the old city, but some obstacles are hindering the process, pointing out that armed terrorist groups inside the old city of Homs weren’t pleased by the coming out of hundreds of young people whose legal statuses were settled.

He affirmed that talks with the UN team will continue to get acquainted with the situation of old Homs and to evacuate civilians from there.
