Syria welcomes Chinese initiative concerning Artificial intelligence

The Syrian _Arab _Republic welcomed the global initiative launched by Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the third session of the Belt and Road Forum under the title “Governance of Artificial Intelligence”.

Syria   announced that it has joined   this initiative, which calls on countries to strengthen and comply with the ethics system for international collaborative research activities in the field of artificial intelligence and to reach  international agreements on the issue of ethics of artificial intelligence governance on the basis of broad participation with full respect for the principles and practices of national artificial intelligence  in various countries.

The Syrian Arab Republic stresses the importance of this initiative in establishing a set of controls that must be followed with regard to the governance of artificial intelligence, including giving priority to ethics, and clarifies special accountability mechanisms.

While Syria highly appreciates this important initiative, it thanks the Chinese President and the People’s Republic of China for its great keenness and rich contributions to promoting everything that is good for humanity.
