Kim Jong Un: The DPRK stands with Russia and supports its efforts to enhance its unity and stability
North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un has affirmed his country’s strong rejection of all forms of terrorism, and expressed his country’s full solidarity with Russia after the terrorist attack that targeted the Crocus shopping mall on the outskirts of Moscow recently.
“The DPRK’s position is firm in opposing all types of terrorism,” The Korean Central News Agency quoted Kim as saying in a condolence message he sent to his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, over the massacre at a Moscow central.
Kim expressed his deep condolences and sympathy to President Putin, the Russian people, the victims and their families of those killed and wounded in the attack, and his confidence that Russia will be able to restore its stability and security as soon as possible.
He said: “Nothing can justify heinous terrorism that threatens human life, and our people consider the grief and suffering of the friendly Russian people as their own grief and pain”
The leader expressed the Korean people’s strong support and solidarity with Russian efforts to strengthen unity and social and political stability, as well as protect their country’s security and sovereign rights.
In turn, European Union foreign policy chief Josep Borrell condemned the terrorist attack, expressing on the X platform: “I condemn in the strongest terms the heinous attack that occurred outside Moscow,” adding: “The international community must remain united with strength and resolve against the scourge of terrorism.”
The Russian Federal Security Service announced the arrest of 11 people who were trying to flee to Ukrainian territory, including 4 terrorists who directly participated in the terrorist attack on the Crocus Mall in the capital, Moscow, which claimed the lives of 133 people, according to the latest statistics.
