Yousef Abdoul Ahad

Sometimes my heart trys to play the role of my mind, with other words it thinks instead of my mind.At this time all the circumstances made me use  my mind and my heart at the same time.

First the tragic situation in which our homeland Syria lives, second my spirit which had chosen from a long time to live alone in a far island with its deep sadness.

Suddenly my telephone began to give sad ringing and my friend told me throw his speaking tears that our old friend Yousef Abdoul Ahad died.

After a few  days I received an invitation for participating in a ceremony dedicated to his memory.     

I have to confess that the situation was very difficult, I cannot  deny that every person will live the life departing to his final destiny ; but the death of our friend was a big shock for me , and this bad news put thick  bandage on my eyes so I couldn’t see this fact and I was not able to accept it normally.

Every orator in the ceremony spoke about our wonderful friend ,about his good morals, how many times he had  helped his old and new colleagues; how his honest spirit had arrived to the highest peak of goodness.

Yousef Abdoul Ahad had spend all his time among the books, each room in his house was too rich library which was full of different kinds of books, it was his own library; but at the same time it was the library of his friends because they could take these books to read them in every time they wanted.

Palestine, the homeland of our writer had lived all the time on the shelves of this library as it had lived deeply in his heart, in his smile and in his tear. This big lover of Palestine never had forgotten stones, trees, streets, of Beyt Lahm where his eyes had seen the light of life at the first time.

 Yousef Abdoul Ahad will stay life in our hearts and minds, his memories will be with us as Palestine lives in our hearts and minds and will live forever.
