President Al-Assad congratulates President Putin on victory in presidential elections

President Bashar Al-Assad on Monday congratulated Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential elections.

“I congratulate you on your victory and your re-election as President of the Russian Federation with a massive majority, which confirms the high confidence of the Russian people in you, your national policies and your strategic visions that stem from the people’s interests and are based on the great position that Russia has long occupied in the world, due to its long history and civilization that was built on principles and values and on respect for the interests and rights of other countries and peoples not on occupation, domination and plunder,” President Al-Assad said in his congratulatory cable.

President al-Assad wished President Putin success in his responsibilities and tasks, hoping that the distinguished relations between Syria and Russia and their effective cooperation will witness further prosperity.
