Gaza Media Office: The occupation’s bombing and storming of Al-Shifaa Medical Complex is a war crime

The Gaza Media Office has confirmed that the Israeli occupation’s storming and bombing of the Al-Shifaa Medical Complex in Gaza City with aircraft and tanks is a war crime that comes within the framework of the occupation’s plans to eliminate the health sector and destroy hospitals in the Strip.

“The occupation army stormed Al-Shifaa Medical Complex with tanks, heavily armed soldiers, and drones, from the early hours of dawn, and the occupation began shooting inside the complex, which sparked fear and panic among the wounded, sick, and displaced” the office said in a statement on Monday.

The statement stressed “this threatens the lives of thousands of people inside the complex. It is a war crime added to the black record of the occupation army, which continues to commit various crimes and massacres, and still intends to eliminate the health sector and destroy hospitals.”

Gaza Media Office condemned strongly this crime, noting that the American administration and the international community are fully responsible for the safety and lives of the medical staff, the wounded, the sick, and the displaced in the complex.

The office called on the international organizations and all countries of the free world to intervene immediately and urgently in order to curb the occupation and stop the genocidal war and its targeting of the health sector, medical institutions and hospitals.
