Russian Defense Ministry announces the destruction of a base for “Al-Nusra” terrorists in the countryside of Deir Ezzor
Moscow, (ST) – The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that its warplanes destroyed a base for terrorists of the “Al-Nusra Front,” which is listed on the international terrorist list in Deir Ezzor.
Deputy Head of the Russian Coordination Center in Hmeimim, General Vadim Collet, said in a press statement that the Russian aircraft destroyed, in a focused raid, a base for “Al-Nusra Front” terrorists who left the Al-Tanf area on the Syrian-Iraqi border in the eastern countryside of Homs, and took refuge in rugged areas in the Bishri mountain range in Deir Ezzor. He pointed out that the Russian raid caused the terrorist organization significant losses in equipment and personnel.
In a related context, the Russian general indicated that 3 attacks were recorded on safe areas by “Al-Nusra” terrorists during the past 24 hours in the de-escalation zone in Idlib.
