Palestinian detainee martyred in occupation jail due to medical negligence

A Palestinian detainee was martyred on Saturday in the Israeli occupation jails as a result of the occupation’s policy of intentional medical negligence towards the detainees.

The Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs Commission and Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) announced that the Palestinian detainee Juma Abu Ghanima, 26, from Negev area of the occupied territories of 1948, was martyred in Eshel prison after his health condition had deteriorated due to medical negligence.

The commission and PPS said in a joint statement that Abu Ghanima was detained in January for his resistance to the occupation.

The number of detainees from the West Bank who were martyred in occupation prisons since the start of the aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip on the 7th of last October rose to 13.

According to the PPS and the Commission, 250 Palestinian prisoners died in Israeli prison since the Israeli occupation of Gaza Strip and the West Bank in 1967.
