Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee to observe the Russian presidential elections

Moscow (ST) – Chairman of the Syrian-Russian Friendship Committee, Basem Sudan, heading a parliamentary delegation to Russia to observe the presidential election scheduled for March 15-17, affirms that Syria and Russia stand together in combating international terrorism.

During his meeting with the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Sholban Kara-ool, Sudan stated that the People’s Assembly delegation, through its participation in the elections, aims to expose the acts of falsification and media misinformation led by Western countries to influence the conduct of these elections and their results and to cast doubt on their legitimacy.

For his part, Kara-ool indicated the great importance of the participation of the Syrian delegation in observing the presidential elections in Russia.
