Media Office in Gaza: The Airdrop of Aid is a Show and the land crossings must be opened immediately

The media office in Gaza confirmed that the indiscriminate airdrop of aid that took place today in the Gaza Strip and led to the martyrdom of 5 Palestinians, including a child and a number of wounded is useless, calling for the opening of land crossings and the immediate entry of thousands of tons of aid to prevent the deepening famine committed by the Israeli occupation there.

The office explained in a statement today that about two million and 400 thousand Palestinians in the stricken Gaza Strip are suffering greatly from acute shortages of food, water, medicine and shelter, which leads to a deeper famine in it, which has so far led to the death of 20 Palestinians due to starvation, malnutrition and drought. The number is likely to rise daily, especially that more than 700 thousand are suffering severe hunger at this stage.

The office stressed that the landing of humanitarian aid on the Gaza Strip in this form from the air takes the form of a show and propaganda more than a humanitarian and service form, and it also poses a threat to the lives of Palestinians there, which happened today when it fell on their heads, in addition to the fact that part of this aid falls at sea and another part inside the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

The office held the US administration, the international community and the Nazi occupation entity fully responsible for the ongoing 154-day war of genocide against children and women and the war of starvation against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

The office called on the international community to put pressure on the occupation to stop the war of genocide and ethnic cleansing, which has so far claimed the lives of more than 100 thousand martyrs, wounded, missing and arrested, as well as to immediately stop starvation, especially in Gaza and its north, and the introduction of humanitarian aid from land crossings.
