Al-Mikkad meets with the Syrian community in Egypt, stresses need to enable Syrian investors to contribute to reconstruction process

Cairo, (ST) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad met at the headquarters of the Syrian Embassy in Cairo with representatives of the Syrian community in Egypt, including industrialists and businessmen, on the sidelines of his participation in the meetings of the 161st regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level.

During the meeting, possible ways to address any difficulties facing their work and provide appropriate conditions were discussed to enable Syrian investors and businessmen to contribute to the reconstruction of Syria in a way that guarantees the national interest and the interests of investors, within the framework of the Syrian government’s plan and efforts in this respect.

Minister Al-Mikkad also listened to the visions and proposals presented by representatives of the community, stressing Syria’s keenness to provide the best consultation services to all Syrians abroad.

He said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates will in turn provide all possible assistance to them, and will follow up on all the issues discussed in this meeting.
