The Minister of Industry Abdul Qadir Jokhdar discussed with the Iranian Ambassador to Damascus Hussein Akbari cooperation relations between Syria and Iran in the industrial sector in order to achieve the common interest of the peoples of the two friendly countries.
During the meeting on Tuesday at the Industry Ministry’s building Minister Jokhdar stressed the importance of joint work to put visions into practice, especially in the field of rehabilitating and developing the General Company for Manufacturing and Distributing Agricultural Machinery (Tractors), the General Company for Tire Manufacturing, securing production requirements for the General Cable Manufacturing Company in Damascus and the Aleppo Cable Manufacturing Company and establishing a line to produce powdered milk for children.
The two sides also noted the importance of training and enhancing the capabilities of the specialized scientific staff of engineers and technicians working in the industrial sector in Syria.
For his part, Ambassador Akbari referred to the importance of working according to the priorities that serve the interests of the two countries within an executive program through which difficulties and unjust economic sanctions are overcome.
He expressed the desire and willingness of many Iranian companies to cooperate with the industrial sector in Syria.
