Al-Mikdad, Aboul Gheit discuss developments in the Arab region

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Faisal Al-Mikdad and the Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit held talks at the League’s headquarters in Cairo on developments in the Arab region.

The meetings was held on the sidelines of the 161st session of the Arab League’s Council at the Ministerial level.

Mikdad urged0 activating Arab joint action and supporting the Arab central causes, mainly the Palestinian cause, ending the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Golan and halting the Israeli entity’s repeated attacks on Syrian territory.

In addition, Al-Mikdad met with his Iraqi counterpart Fouad Hussein and discussed with bilateral ties between Syria and Iraq, the situation in the Arab region in general and Gaza in particular.
