Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has reaffirmed that what the Israeli occupation authorities are committing in Gaza constitutes a crime of genocide, noting that Venezuelan citizens took to the streets to express their condemnation of this aggression against the Palestinian people.
Maduro published, in his weekly program “More with Maduro,” snapshots of the demonstrations that took place in the streets of Venezuela, indicating that the Venezuelan people took to the streets, vehemently rejecting Israel’s aggression and the genocidal war against the Palestinian people.
He affirmed Latin America’s clear position calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, and stressed that “the concern of millions of people and dozens of governments about the situation in Gaza is legitimate.”
Maduro pointed out that the Israeli occupation entity instilled an ideology more dangerous than Nazism, which first affected the Palestinian people, then Arab societies of all spectrums.
The Venezuelan President previously urged the peoples of the world to remain in the streets in support of Palestine, saying: “We must win this battle for the right to life and land, and the establishment of a Palestinian state.”
He stressed that the Israeli occupation is committing genocide against the Palestinian people, supporting the statements of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio da Silva in this regard.
At dawn last Thursday, the Israeli occupation forces committed a new massacre through opening fire on unarmed Palestinians who gathered during the distribution of food and humanitarian aid on Al-Rashid Street, west of Gaza City, claiming an initial toll of 112 martyrs and more than 760 wounded.
