Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry have discussed the Syria situation in a telephone conversation, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to Voice of Russia, Interfax
“The foreign policy chiefs continued discussing the situation surrounding Syria in light of the second round of negotiations between the Syrian official delegation and the “coalition delegation”, which has begun in Geneva,” it said.
According to the statement, the U.S. was the initiator of the conversation.
