Damascus (ST) – President of the Arab Writers Union Muhammad Al-Hourani discussed with Bahraini Ambassador to Syria Waheed Mubarak Sayyar the consolidation of cultural and publishing relations and mutual agreements in this regard between the two countries at the Union’s headquarters.
Ambassador Sayyar indicated his country’s desire for cultural interconnection and the exchange of activities with Syria, especially since there is an ancient Arab civilization and ancient cultural communication linking the two countries.
For his part, Al-Hourani stressed the necessity of strengthening cultural relations and signing memorandums of cooperation and understanding through periodicals and joint activities.
The meeting was attended by Vice President of the Union, the poet Tawfiq Ahmed and a number of members of the Executive Office, writers and poets.
