Al-Awda Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip announces the cessation of services after running out of fuel
Occupied Al-Quds,( ST)- Al-Awda Hospital in the city of Jabalia, north of Gaza Strip, announced on Wednesday that it has stopped its services due to the exhaustion of fuel and medical supplies as a result of the Israeli occupation preventing their entry into the Strip.
Wafa News Agency reported that the director of the hospital’s Monitoring and Evaluation Department Muhammad Salha aaid that the complete cessation of services in the hospital will lead to depriving the people of the northern Gaza Strip of basic health services. He warned of the catastrophic consequences of this, especially in the light of the cessation of service by all hospitals in the north.
Salha appealed to all international, humanitarian and human rights organizations to pressure the occupation to supply the hospital with medicines, consumables, medical supplies and fuel.
The occupation forces stormed into Al Awda Hospital last December, causing massive damage to it, in addition to destroying a number of ambulances located at its entrance.
Since the beginning of the occupation’s aggression against the Gaza Strip on October 7, the occupation has put 31 hospitals out of service by bombing, destroying, and depriving them of medical supplies and fuel. It has also targeted 152 health institutions and caused them severe damage.
