Palestinian Ministry of Education: 5427 students martyred since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza
Occupied Al-Quds (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Education announced that 5427 students were martyred and 9193 were injured in Gaza Strip and the West Bank since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on the Strip on the 7th of last October.
The Ministry stated that a number of students who were martyred in the Strip since the beginning of the aggression has reached 5379, while the number of the wounded has reached 8888. 48 students were martyred in the West Bank, 305 were injured and 97 were detained.
The ministry noted that 255 teachers and administrators died and 91 were injured in the Strip, 6 were injured and 73 were detained in the West Bank.
The Ministry indicated that 351 schools, including 65 UNRWA schools, were bombed and vandalized in the Strip, and that led to the complete destruction of 40 of them and causing serious damage to 75 others, while 57 schools were vandalized in the West Bank.
The ministry noted that 620 thousand students are still deprived of enrolling in their schools since the beginning of the aggression, while most of the students suffer from psychological trauma and face difficult health conditions.
