Buenos Aires,(ST)-Outstanding Syrian swimmer Salih Mohammad has finished second in the 88 km Parana Long-distance swimming race which was held in Argentina.
The said race is part of the World Cup Long-distance Swimming Series.
Mohammad came second with a time of 9 hrs. and 22 minutes .Two minutes behind the race’s winner.
Mohammad’s marvelous achievement will definitely contribute in improving his ranking internationally where Mohammad is currently ranked fifth .
Mohammad’s eventful record includes lots of accomplishments: Arab and Asia title- holder.
He captured two gold medals in the 5km-10 km race in the 1st Asian Beach Tournament which was staged in Indonesia in 2008.He also got (1 gold,1 silver) inj the 2nd Asian Beach Tournament which was held in Oman in 2010.In 2013,Mohammad managed to clinch two medals(gold ,silver)in the 10 km and 5km races respectively in the Asia Championship which was hosted by Kazakhstan.
