Syria’s women football team defeats the Iraqi team in the group stage of West Asia championship  

Syria’s women football team on Saturday defeated its Iraqi counterpart 3-0 in a match held at the stadium of King Abdullah Sport City in Jeddah within the third and final round of the group stage competitions of the 8th West Asia Championship.

The goals were scored by players Maria Elias, Nour Mustafa, and Razan Khawandi in the minutes 42, 49 and 80.

Earlier, the Syrian team lost to its Nepali team 4-1 and to Palestine 1-0.

According to the championship’s system, winners of the first and second place in each group qualify for the second round of the tournament.
