Syria to take part in the World Youth Festival 2024 in Russia

Syria is due to take part in the World Youth Festival 2024, which is scheduled to be organized by Russia in the city of Sochi between March 1st and 7th.

The Syrian youth delegation participating in the event comprises 160 male and female youths representing several youth organizations in Syria, according to Somar Dhaher, Chairman of the Revolutionary Youth Union, head of the delegation.

Dhaher affirmed that this year’s festival is the biggest in the history of foreign participations, as 20,000 youths from more than 180 countries around the world will participate with the aim of reaching a unified vision on the future of humanity, on adherence to the language of peace and on enhancing the principles of friendship and solidarity among peoples.

Dhaher pointed out that the festival provides an opportunity for the youths to have dialogue and exchange cultures. It is also an opportunity to highlight the talents of the Syrian youth and to place these talents in a global environment to achieve spreading for them.
