President Al-Assad congratulates Putin on Russia’s Defenders of the Fatherland Day

President Bashar Al-Assad on Friday congratulated his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on the Russian “Defenders of the Fatherland Day”.

In a telegram posted by the Presidency of the Syrian Arab Republic on its account on Instagram, President Al-Assad said: “I extend my congratulations through you to the Russian military establishment which has been showing high efficiency and effectiveness in defending Russia’s territories and protecting its national interests”.

The President hailed the heroic deeds and courage of the Russian armed forces in the joint battle against terrorism in Syria.
