Cooperation between security authorities and Syrian Arab Army units in the city of Palmyra has resulted in thwarting an attempt by terrorists to smuggle a large quantity of Narcotic hashish and Captagon pills to outside the country through the Syrian Badia.
The operation was carried out within the framework of Syria’s ongoing war on terrorism and to eliminate the remnants of terrorist groups.
A security source in Palmyra told SANA “we have carried out a tight ambush for those terrorist groups, clashed with them in the Syrian Badia (desert), and confiscated their possessions of Narcotic materials prepared for smuggling, including Hashish and Captagon pills.”
The Security forces and the army are determined to perform their duties in pursuing terrorists and thwarting their smuggling operations.
