DAMASCUS,(ST)-Shurta, the Damascus-based club, regained today their balance as they edged out Hurria 21 in the Professional Soccer League 1st Division 3rd Round at the Lattakia Sporting Complex.
Striker Khalid Oklah gave his side the three precious points as he managed to hit home only one minute before the final whistle .
Hurria midfielder Mohammad Ibrahim opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a fierce drive just outside the penalty box.
In the 70th minute, referee of the match awarded Shurta a penalty kick where Ahmad As’ad successfully converted.
It is worth noting that Shurta lost their opener in Group B match 1-3 to Musfat Banias.
In Group A matches, Wahda,the powerhouse club of Damascus,drew with Taleeaa 0-0 at the Faiha stadium in Damascus.
Both teams were a pale shadow on the pitch failing to live up to their fans’ expectations.
