Palestinian Foreign Ministry: The escalation of Israeli settlers’ crimes is a challenge to international law

Occupied Al-Quds, (ST) – The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that the escalation of Israeli settlers’ crimes against the Palestinian people is a blatant challenge to international law. It referred that these crimes are part of the occupation’s colonial plans to annex the West Bank.

In a statement today, reported by Wafa News Agency, the Foreign Ministry condemned the settlers’ terrorism and crimes against the Palestinians, their land, property, and sanctities in Al-Quds and the rest of the West Bank. He stressed that the escalation of these crimes is evidence that the measures imposed by the United States and Britain on a number of settler gang leaders are insufficient, and what is required is to impose binding international sanctions on the entire colonial settlement system which is illegal.

The Foreign Ministry called for implementing  UN Resolution 2334, which affirms the illegality of settlements, calls for its cessation, and forces the occupation government to stop all settlement operations. It pointed out that placing settler gangs on terrorist lists will have a positive impact in curbing them and stopping their violations and crimes.
