Damascus,(ST)- The General Film Organization participated in the First session of Baghdad Film Festival and the tenth session of Emirates Film Festival, through a number of feature, short, and documentary films.
At Baghdad Festival, the Syrian film organization participated in the feature film (Joseph’s Journey), conceived by actor Ayman Zidane, scenario by Wissam Kanaan and directed by Jude Saeed. The film competes with ten feature films from several countries.
The feature film (Two Days) will also be screened as part of the special screenings program at the festival. The film was written by Talid Al-Khatib, directed by Basil Al-Khatib, and is based on a story by the artist Duraid Lahham.
The short film (Photograph), scripted by Buthaina Naissa an directed by Al-Mohannad Kulthoum, participates in the official short film competition within the festival, competing with 15 short narrative films from 14 countries.
In the documentary film competition, the short film (The Peel of an Onion) directed by Raghad Bash and produced by the Shiraz Academy participates and competes with 9 other films from several Arab countries.
As for the Emirates Film Festival, which is held in Dubai, the Film Organization participates with the short film (Once Upon a Time in Damascus), written and directed by (Alaa Gharra).
The story of the film revolves around the intersection of the destinies of three characters during a (virtual) match of the Asian Cup finals held in Tishreen Stadium in Damascus.It stars Mahmoud Khalili, Hend Badriya, Milad Al-Sahawi, Jawad Hallaq, and Raghdaa Hashem
