Baghdad-( ST) – Yesterday, the Iraqi Parliament called on the government to implement the decision on pulling out foreign forces from the country, reiterating its strong condemnation of the American aggression against Iraqi forces.
Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, said in a statement yesterday: “The Council calls on the government to implement the decision related to the withdrawal of foreign forces and to end their mission in the country based on the development of Iraqi security capabilities and the absence of any new agreement with foreign forces that requires them to stay.”
Al-Mandalawi added: “The Council denounces and rejects the ongoing attacks on Iraqi territory, strongly condemns the American targeting of the Popular Mobilization Forces and its leaders and calls on the government to take the necessary diplomatic measures to protect Iraq’s sovereignty, security and stability. He also called on the government to prevent all forms of attacks on it, and not allow the country to be made an arena for settling scores, urging the countries to be committed to the signed agreements and treaties without distortion or different interpretation.”
Three Iraqis were martyred, including a leader in the Popular Mobilization Forces, three days ago, as a result of an attack carried out by an American drone on a car in the Al-Mashtal area, northeast of Baghdad.
